What makes a good book review:

  1. Info: Title, edition, author(s), publisher, copyright date, and ISBN.

  2. Subject: What is the book about?

  3. Readership level: Target for book: novice, intermediate, expert?

  4. How well was it written? Was it easy to read or turgid?

  5. How well did it cover topic area? Any errors, omissions, or extras?

  6. How accurate was the text? Were code examples correct?

  7. How does it rate? Forget it, Useful, Very Useful, Essential.

  8. Anything else? Would you like to say something else about the book?
