David has consulted full time since 1987. Before that he was vice president of software development at Vectron Graphic Systems, a
firm specializing in software products for printed circuit board design.
He has written four books on programming, with more than 80,000 copies sold. His most recent book, An Embedded
Software Primer, was published by Addison Wesley Longman in August, 1999.
